I have high standards for the blogs I read. Ridiculously high. But let me tell you that I am loyal! Once I find one I like, I devour it. I start from present day and then follow, but I also like have a wander through their archives and to see what blogs they read, because I am nosey like that. Sometimes I am not sure my blog would pass my high standards - there, I said it. But the truth is, most of the bloggers I respect, have been going for years. Maybe I wouldn't have thought so highly of them in their first four months of blogging too, while they were figuring their niche out - such a comforting thought!
Here's one of these super awesome blogs, to kick-start this series.
I am ashamed to say I have never written a comment, but I read every post and sometimes dip into the blog roll - which comprises of quite a few blogs. I am trying to think of the genre of her blog and the best way to describe it is that she covers beautiful things, with a huge dollop of interior design. Another thing about her blog which I think is key is that it never feels like an overload or brag or a humble brag. Her tone is just right!
Her blog is tastefully and effortlessly written, it's very much personalised (she's got a consistent voice) , it's original (I don't see the same content elsewhere) and she's focused on her niche (she leans toward a certain aesthetic but it is still a very wide spectrum of styles).
