Leaky Diaper Problem? Try This...
It has been a super helpful tip for me!
Did you know that if you have a few diaper leaks with your little baby, check these three things:
1. That you're pulling out the flaps on the left and right side so that they are facing outwards, as opposed to tucked in.
2. After you have put on the diaper, check the fit at the back, it should be snug on baby. If it is a little loose you can tighten the diaper fit a little in the front.
3. If you already do those two checks, then chances are you are using the wrong size and should switch to a size up. So, if you're using a diaper size 3, it's maybe time to switch up to a size 4.
Tip number three has been a life saver for me! I noticed it when I had leaks after Coco put on 2kg in 6 weeks or so, over the christmas holidays (hah). I had bought her diapers in bulk, and was just getting through the packs, but we were ready to move one size up. When I switched, the leaks stopped. Recently, I had one or two leaks again and even though we were on the right size for her weight, I went one size up and I haven't had a problem since. It works!
A really simple and easy fix, for a nightmare problem - a leaky diaper. Its saved me all those outfit changes and her waking up from being wet.
Have you had problems with a leaky diaper and found a solution? What worked for you? Also is anyone cloth diapering or planning to - I think they look so cute, for now disposables work well for us, but I have always been tempted by the idea.
Happy Sunday, hope it's been a good weekend.
