My TKMaxx Fantastic Finds - Baby Products

How do you shop for baby products? There is no right or wrong with this, everyone does it their own way, that works best for them. A friend of mine did most of her baby shopping online. Melia shared some of her tricks in this awesome post. I like discounts too, especially for baby clothes, since they won't be in them for a lifetime, I mean you're lucky if your baby fits in a babygro for three whole months. I am partial to a few stores and since they give me good quality, reliable, value-for-money items, in most cases,  I just go back to my tried and tested shops. I may add on a new shop by recommendation, every so often, but only once in a while. I am a habit shopping kind of girl.

I also like to have a little rummage around as part of my shopping experience, and pick out 'gold' from what can look like a pile of 'stuff'. There's few places better for this than TKMaxx. It looks like a bunch of 'stuff' from a far but you can find some really awesome products, at great value, if you give it a good look through. Here are a few of the gems I have picked up from TK Maxx. The thing about shopping there is, I cannot guarantee that you will walk into one of their stores, and find the same items I found, but if they have a baby section (check online at the store locator page), you are usually guaranteed to find something special. I also like their home section but thats a whole other post.

Below is a selection of some of my TKMaxx fantastic finds:

  • 'Sassy' high chair toy [top left photo] I cannot go on and on about this high chair toy enough. After I bought it I went on to Amazon and realised I had actually unwittingly bought a best seller. Four mums sitting at a table today, and it turns out three of us have this toy!

  • 'Sassy' rattle [bottom left photo] We've used it since she Coco was about a month old. She still like to play with it now, even at six months.

  • Music instruments set As you are probably now aware, were an all singing family, haha (in my head). I bought these so Coco can make some noise at home. I believe its a set of five, but we've taken out two just now from the pack - the maracas and the tamborine with a drum at the top. She loves to bang on just about anything (occasionally her own leg) with the maracas and she has now learnt to bang on the drum too.

  • Clevamama 'clevahead support' infant insert [bottom right photo] I use it in the bouncer. Its great because it helps prevent flat head syndrome, which babies get from being on their backs a lot. Its so soft and squidgy, I want to rest my head on it.

  • Clevamama complete weaning essentials kit (bpa-free set of bowls with lids, spoons, forks and mini bowls, sip cups  in five colours with lids) Does what it says. I have only used a few of these, but I feel sorted for packing a feeding bag when we get to that stage.

  • Bentley Organic Toy spray sanitizer [top middle photo] Made with 90% organic ingredients. I mostly use this on the high chair tray and on toys. I like the fact that theres not that many 'nasties' also known as harsh cleaning chemicals in it. Since she will be putting the toys into her mouth.

  • Fisher Price Play mat [top right photo] Another product that does what it says. It has a mirror and some other little attachments.

The key take away - don't underestimate TK Maxx. I love walking away feeling like I've gotten some great quality products at a steal/outlet price.

Happy Tuesday
